What a perfect day for a run; 65 degrees at the start and pure blue sky!
More details to follow but for now here’s the bottom line:
Rachael ran a 53:02 10K which was good enough for 3rd place in her age group and 21st out of 397 female runners which enabled her to make the top 25 female runners which entiltied her to ANOTHER cool jacket!
I ran a 53:04 10K which was good enough for 3rd place in my age group…but that’s all 😦
It was a great race and we had a terrific time.
Hey! Check out these Pic’s!
Who is that? A movie star? WOW! She’s really flying!
Who’s that? Oh…some old guy. Surprised he even made it across the finish line!

Well, it’s been a LONG time since I did any blogging, but I FINALLY have something exciting to talk about. We, my wife and I are heading down to Lake Tahoe to visit our daughter Rachael and her husband Scott AND to run a 10K in one of the most BEA-UUUUU-T-FUL places in the world!
Rachael & Scott and I had planned on doing this run back in January but we had thought we’d be ready for a half marathon by now, but due to injuries and business we opted to do the 10K and just have a great time running this amazing race together. (This assumes Scott can get away from fighting fires….literately.)
What’s amazing about this weekend in Tahoe is they start on Wednesday with a historical fun run around, well, historical buildings and then day after day that have amazing events, check out the list here!
We fly out of Spokane tomorrow (Thursday, the 25th) and land in Reno, NV, around 12:30 PM. We’re planning on visiting some of the histroical sites in Carson City by following the “History Trail“.
After that? Who knows! We’ll met up with Rachael & Scott (Hopefully!) around 6:00 PM and, I’ve been told, we’ll be taken to a wonderful place to eat! I like eatting!
I’ll report back later on the whole trip!
Just a quick post about our house: We FINALLY are getting our roof re-shingled. We bought this house about 5 or 6 years ago and have had some minor leaks that have really troubled us so we finally got the 2 million dollars together to pay for the roof. (Okay, maybe it wasn’t THAT much but it sure felt like it!)
I can’t believe that at one point I thought I could actually do this job myself. HA! What a joke!
Anywho, here’s a link to some of the pictures: (Here)
